Skirts are an important part of women’s fashion. Extremely versatile, skirts can be dressed up or down to look fancy or casual for every occasion from a business meeting to a dinner date. Some of the many different shapes of skirts include high waisted, bias cut, mini, A-line, tulip or pencil shaped. ONLY as a high street brand has plenty of variations available to suit different shapes and sizes. The right clothing for different body shapes can truly help women bring out their best physical attributes. Have confidence no matter what your shape with clothes that fit and flatter!

OUTFIT 1
On catwalk shows most models are very tall but in Hollywood many stars are actually petite sized such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Reese Witherspoon just to name a few…..
For a petite sized lady, less clutter, less fabric, less fuss is the best so
This high waisted pencil shape skirt is ideal for a petite shaped lady best worn just above the knee. It looks cool and classy adding sexy curves to the hips! The nautical style scarf gives it that current edge.
To elongated the legs, I teamed it up with red wedges to keep that nautical touch and also to keep the ankles free of straps which would shorten the legs which is a no no for petite sizes.

OUTFIT 2
If you are taller, you may choose to wear a longer skirt, but a longer skirt on a shorter person may cause her to look shorter than she really is and should be avoided. Longer skirts that reach almost to the ground may be worn by plus size women, but only in moderation. Long skirts can be great on many plus size women.
I layered two different colours of vests to pick up on the pattern on the skirt and then added on a waist belt to give it more a feminine shape. While Asheena is so tall I have teamed it up with flat pair of shoes rather than high heels while she would be towering over people.

OUTFIT 3
Tulip skirts have more fabric around the hips than pencil skirts, giving them the shape of an inverted tulip. Tulip skirts look good on most figure types, as in on fuller figure while it hide the bulk on the hips but you have to have a good waist line. I kept the patterns on the skirt while Leah has a fuller chest and the eyes will draw to the skirt rather emphasising the top half. For a fuller shape makes sure you don’t wear strap on shoes or round toe and try to wear skirts just above the knee

OUTFIT 4
Mini skirts are very suitable for petite sized and make sure it’s a straight shape rather than a-line while that will make your shape wider and thus smaller. Short leather jackets are good on petite sizes and this one is very affordable. It’s more a younger edgy look that could come straight of a catwalk show.
It is a good idea, being a plus size woman, to avoid very short skirts. A really short skirt can actually make a plus size woman look top heavy. If you really want a short skirt, stick to skirts that are only an inch above your knees. This may not seem short enough, but it will give you a sexy look, and your upper and lower body will balance while you have the ability of showing off your legs.
OUTFIT 5
In general, they recommend taller girls not to wear minis but this is a good way to wear them if you really want to by wearing a more frilled style skirt adding on more volume rather than a straight mini….I also added on shorter leggings cutting up the legs a bit making her less tall looking and flat sandals which I think is a nice, casual summery day time look flattering on a taller silhouette.
OUTFIT 6
This pencil shaped skirt, which is shaped long and straight like a pencil, is flattering to most figure types but is particularly flattering on a hour glass or fuller figure. With a dark pencil skirt wear a brighter medium coloured top to give an overall slimming effect and the rouching detail on the hips and tummy can hide unwanted bumps.
You can wear it with a fancy blouse, a glitzy party top or more office with a plain white shirt…very versatile and as well with flat shoes or high heels.
